My approach to counseling recognizes the intricate interplay between the mind and body in the healing process. I am committed to assisting individuals from all walks of life in identifying and overcoming obstacles that may be hindering their personal growth and satisfaction. My primary goal is to empower you to become the expert in your body-mind connection, deepening your self-awareness throughout the therapeutic process. Through this you will be able to become your own healer and a powerful self-sufficient being.
I use an integrative therapy approach, utilizing multiple holistic therapies and techniques, such as IFS, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, and DBT to bridge your mind-body awareness and connection to yourself. Additionally, I use my previous experience as a physical therapist assistant to provide insight and wisdom in the way our bodies respond to trauma and pain. With this, a critical aspect of my work involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of the challenges you face. As we explore together we will address the root causes of these challenges, which will pave the way for sustainable healing. By taking these steps to understand and address your life challenges we will build a roadmap to recovery, healing, and the life you hope to live.
My focus is to provide compassionate and comprehensive therapeutic support to adults facing various challenges. In particular, I love working with individuals desiring to work on self-esteem and empowerment, as well as, building healthy relationships. Whether it’s through exploring mindfulness, navigating relationships, or managing stress, I support you on your journey toward holistic well-being. I am eager for the opportunity to collaborate with you, guiding you toward a more fulfilling and vibrant future.
My professional journey began with an Associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Clarkson College. Concurrently, I delved into the healthcare realm, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Nebraska while actively working in physical therapy. Combining my expertise in physical health with a passion for mental well-being, I completed my Master’s in Counseling at Crown College. This comprehensive educational background allows me to integrate a holistic perspective, treating the body as a whole entity.
Through years of education, training, and my personal journey of self-discovery, I’ve come to appreciate the profound depth of the mind-body connection. Recognizing the importance of considering the body as a unified system, I am equipped to guide individuals towards achieving comprehensive, whole healing.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I bring a genuine passion for helping individuals navigate their paths to well-being. I find fulfillment in staying active, engaging in activities like sand volleyball and paddle boarding. Connecting with family and friends is a crucial part of my life, adding a human touch to our therapeutic journey.
