At the heart of my counseling approach is the belief that with the right guidance true healing is possible. As a therapist, I consider it my mission to embody that “right guidance” and lead you on your journey of transformation. I am committed to challenging you to face the obstacles standing in the way of your peace and empowerment. I love aiding those who are ready to go deep within themselves to find the strength and tranquility they crave. With attunement to you and the present moment, I will walk beside you on an exploration of self-discovery and self-acceptance. We will work to reclaim you and all you are one step at a time.
So often, when we are stuck in unhelpful patterns it can be difficult to imagine ever finding the peace we seek, but I’m here to show you it’s always been there. In session, I will use the Mind-Body connection and a combination of mindfulness and CBT, as well as strength-based and somatic techniques to aid you on your healing journey. Through this, we’ll explore and integrate any lessons from external experiences and listen deeply to signals and direction from internal wisdom. I’ll coach you to strengthen your boundaries, empowering you to create the life that you truly deserve. I’ll help you shift from reactivity and passivity (which often has roots in trauma and childhood conditioning) to intentional, value-guided choices that reflect your heart desires. Through this process you will begin to feel more empowered, confident, and spiritually aligned.
Ultimately, I believe you are the hero you seek. You hold all you need to create the harmonious life that you long for. My own journey has taught me, when we intentionally strive towards authenticity and practice self-love, we can truly live in peace. My commitment to serenity and strength is what I hope to use to guide you towards your own. I am also a strong advocate for the normalization of mental health care as an important part of holistic wellness; we all need a little help sometimes to embody our best selves. So, whether it’s to work on boundaries, heal trauma, or just maintain mental wellness, if this message resonates, let this be your call to choose you. Join me and let’s allow you to Bloom.
I am an Austin, Texas native and it has been amazing to see how much the city has grown! At a very young age I knew I wanted to pursue a career in helping people. I am naturally empathetic and intuitive, so I knew I had to find my niche. I ventured outside of Austin after graduating high school where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I then moved to Houston, Texas where I received a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas Southern University.
As a graduate student I was blessed with the opportunity to intern at Carson Parke: Home for Adolescent Girls, where I helped young women who were experiencing PTSD, Anxiety, Self-esteem issues, and Depression. I provided individual and group counseling at Carson Parke for two years, and very much enjoyed serving this population where help was so needed. While my education and direct clinical experience have provided me with important tools to fulfill my purpose, my personal life experiences have truly been the most powerful teachers for me; I’m a firm believer that there is no substitute for spiritual connection and spiritual strength.
Cultivating intentional balance between my personal and work life is very important to me, as I strive to practice what I encourage in my clients. During my free time I enjoy working out, dancing, hanging out with family & friends, and spending quality time with my sweet baby girl. If I were to choose my favorite pastime it would be lounging on the couch with snacks, watching a good movie from the 90s! I enjoy the simple things in life and do my best to embody the same self-compassion that I am passionate about teaching clients.
