I believe strongly that peace starts within the soul, that it is where our light shines and where our healing begins. My goal is to help you tune into this inner light and allow it to grow and express its truth, so that you can cultivate inner peace and live your most authentic life. I’ll empathetically hold a safe space for processing your experiences; we’ll explore and integrate any lessons from outer experiences and listen deeply to signals, requests, and wisdom from inner experiences. When necessary, I’ll coach you to strengthen your boundaries, empowering you to create the life that you truly deserve. With your commitment, I’ll help you shift from reactivity and passivity (which often has roots in trauma and childhood conditioning) to intentional, value-guided actions and choices that reflect your core-heart desires. Through this process you will begin to feel more empowered, confident, and spiritually aligned.

Everyone has their own unique life experiences, identities, and their own view of the world around them. I don’t believe there is one modality that fits all, so I tailor my therapeutic approach to align with the specific needs of my client by integrating different techniques. The foundation of my counseling approach is currently based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on mindfully modifying our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to help positively transform our state of being. I also utilize Client-Centered Therapy, where I walk beside you as a gentle, curious ally as we take an exploratory journey together into your self-discovery, self-acceptance, and positive growth. I came to Bloom Therapy with an excitement for learning and mastering experiential and somatic therapies, and am excited to begin to integrate these skills and modalities into my clinical repertoire.

Ultimately, I believe you hold the necessary resources within you to heal. It’s my job to guide you in accessing them and unleashing them. In addition to utilizing therapy for healing, I also enjoy working with clients who appreciate therapy as a way to maintain wellness, to keep themselves aligned with their highest self, and on track with their highest purpose. Part of what drew me to Bloom was the mission to normalize therapy as a practical tool that can benefit almost anyone during most phases of their lives. When we intentionally strive towards authenticity and practice self-love, we can truly live in peace. Being on the journey of self- reflecting, adjusting, and growing can feel difficult at times but can also be rewarding and I will be there with you every step of the way.

More About Jasmine

I am an Austin, Texas native and it has been amazing to see how much the city has grown! At a very young age I knew I wanted to pursue a career in helping people. I am naturally empathetic and intuitive, so I knew I had to find my niche. I ventured outside of Austin after graduating high school where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I then moved to Houston, Texas where I received a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas Southern University.

As a graduate student I was blessed with the opportunity to intern at Carson Parke: Home for Adolescent Girls, where I helped young women who were experiencing PTSD, Anxiety, Self-esteem issues, and Depression. I provided individual and group counseling at Carson Parke for two years, and very much enjoyed serving this population where help was so needed. While my education and direct clinical experience have provided me with important tools to fulfill my purpose, my personal life experiences have truly been the most powerful teachers for me; I’m a firm believer that there is no substitute for spiritual connection and spiritual strength.

Cultivating intentional balance between my personal and work life is very important to me, as I strive to practice what I encourage in my clients. During my free time I enjoy working out, dancing, hanging out with family & friends, and spending quality time with my sweet baby girl. If I were to choose my favorite pastime it would be lounging on the couch with snacks, watching a good movie from the 90s! I enjoy the simple things in life and do my best to embody the same self-compassion that I am passionate about teaching clients.
