My counseling approach centers on self-worth, self-love, and empowerment. I provide a spacious and calm space for you to process your experience while also offering honest and direct feedback from a place of compassion. I know from my own personal journey that healing happens in connection and within community, not in isolation. I offer both holistic psychotherapy sessions and integrative yoga + psychotherapy sessions, for those that wish to incorporate yogic movement into the work.
My work is rooted in the mind-body connection, evidence-based therapies, and spirituality. I will take an individualized approach to our work, integrating various tools such as mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, yoga, astrology, affirmations, visualizations, inner child work, reparenting, and humor. You will experience breadth and depth within our sessions.
Through a trauma-informed lens, we’ll explore the roots of any ineffective behaviors that may be life-limiting. As you gain understanding and self-awareness, that clarity will unlock the roadmap to your healing journey. We can then start creating powerful shifts in perspective and behavior to steer you towards your best life. You are in the driver’s seat of your life; I’ll be a supportive passenger offering real-time feedback, and reminding you of your personalized roadmap instructions.
As a passionate advocate for women’s wellbeing through-out the life span, I bring 15 years of prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher experience in the therapy room. When desired and clinically appropriate, we can infuse yoga movement into our sessions. My yoga method has focused on empowering women, instilling self-trust and confidence, cultivating body acceptance and positivity, and holding a safe space for life transitions and challenges such pregnancy, miscarriage, infant loss, and birth trauma.
I love to work with individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse, parents experiencing alienation/estrangement from their children, and adult survivors of parental alienation. I can help you coming out of confusion, create firm boundaries, build communication skills, co-parent with a high conflict ex, handle family court fatigue and stress, and rebuild a beautiful, new life. We will work to restore your strength, stability, self-esteem, power, and authentic expression. If you are a target parent of parental alienation, we will hold space for your complex grief, work psycho-spiritually to magnetize your stolen child(ren) back to you, and cultivate hope and faith while you wait for your prodigal child(ren) to come home.
I firmly believe you are forever unfolding into your own healer; therapy makes this process much more efficient. You are worthy of support and care; you don’t have to do this alone. I am here to wholeheartedly support you in shedding what is not authentic, healing lost parts of yourself, and reclaiming inner resources. I want to help you to become “full of yourself” in the best way possible, to restore your aliveness and hope, to live a beautiful and intentional life. It would be an honor to walk alongside you.
I am a midlife warrior and wounded healer who received and accepted the call to evolve into a therapist halfway through life. I received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan and later a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at LaSalle University in Philadelphia many moons ago.
I have worked in the fields of neuropsychology, addictions, and rehabilitation. But most of my professional experience has come from holding a safe space for pregnant, postpartum, parenting, and perimenopause populations through yoga, mindfulness, meditation, psycho-education, and astrology. I owned and operated my own successful prenatal and postnatal yoga business in Austin for 15 years which has brought me much fulfillment and joy.
The decision to grow into a therapist at this point of time was both organic and intentional. My passion in wanting to help people take back their power and to create the life they want is very much informed by my own life experience, story, and healing work.
I value understanding, faith, freedom, and connection. My love language is safety and that is my number one priority in session with you. When I am not working, I enjoy reading astrology charts both professionally and for fun, attending church on Sundays, connecting with friends and family, singing, and staying active.
